Tonight was Scouts and church activities, along with a meeting for Jason and I at church. Second night in a row where the kids went to bed more than an hour late. We’ll figure this all out eventually… probably just in time for summer 2014.
We all were dragging our behinds this hump day evening, and no wonder. There’s so much going on, so many appointments and places to be. We all need a little quiet.
We got everyone tucked in, and Jason and I both thought to check our work emails , only to discover the Internet was down. And then a friendly guy from the cable company told us how very lucky we were because we would be able to schedule the very last available appointment for a technician to come our to the house because the problem. It seems, is unsolvable over the phone. The time? 3:00 to 5:00!
Do you know the panic that sets in when Jason and I are forced to face our helplessness over being Internet-less? Not because we’re missing out on any online chatter but because our livelihoods are at stake over it! Considering we both work from home on the ol’ interwebs, this sounds the death knell for our daily production.
I will likely relocate myself to a wifi spot, but Jason is dead in the water.
I tell you, this has been one of the weirdest weeks.
